At University of the Cumberlands, we strive to help make your education affordable. We offer a number of scholarships that are available to full-time undergraduate students, excluding online students, and are renewable for up to 4 years. We also list external scholarships that all students can apply for, regardless of their academic level or whether they're taking classes in-seat or online. Scholarship amounts range from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. Students may qualify for only one scholarship in the academic category.
For most scholarships, our Priority Filing Date for applications is February 1st; however, applications submitted after that date may be considered on a case-by-case basis. All applicants for scholarships should be accepted for admission prior to scholarship application submission and, in general, should have filed the FAFSA.
Academic Scholarships
We aim to make education at Cumberlands even more affordable than it already is by decreasing student dependency on federal loans and reducing the financial burden of earning a college degree. As part of our Cumberlands Commitment, and beginning in the fall of 2024, the University will introduce new measures to reduce students’ out-of-pocket costs.
This new program will offer on-campus undergraduate students a combination of scholarship funds and forgivable, zero-interest loans. Our goal with the program is to decrease total out-of-pocket costs with students paying, on average, no more than $2,000 per semester to attend Cumberlands.
- Students must complete the FAFSA as soon as the filing window opens in December
- Cumberlands will issue financial aid packages to students based on FAFSA information
- Students will continue to contribute state and federal financial aid to the cost of their education
- Students that have more than $2,000 per semester ($4,000 per year) out-of-pocket will automatically be offered the Cumberlands Commitment program as part of their financial aid package
- Enrolled students that maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) will remain in the program and have applicable institutional loans forgiven each semester
- Students must complete the FAFSA each year to maintain eligibility
Presidential scholarships are available for first-time freshmen based on high school GPA. To qualify, a student must have at least a 2.5 or higher GPA when applying at the university. Presidential scholarship awards range in amounts and are renewable each year as long as a student maintains Satisfactory Academic Progress. There is no application, and scholarships will automatically be awarded once the student has been accepted and completed the FAFSA.

To be eligible, students must have completed the Governor’s Scholars Program the summer prior to their intended enrollment year and complete the form below to upload their certificate of completion. Two spots are held annually on a first come, first served basis once enrollment deposit is paid for first-time freshman students. This scholarship covers tuition and fees up to $9,875 for four consecutive years of undergraduate main-campus enrollment and is not stackable with other institutional academic scholarships. Failure to complete the FAFSA application may result in loss of scholarship.
Financial need may be considered when evaluating applicants. The Financial Aid Office reserves the right to adjust all scholarships to stay within Title IV guidelines, state awarding guidelines, and campus policy.

Transfer scholarships are available for students transferring to University of the Cumberlands from another college or university who will be enrolled in the on-campus undergraduate program. Eligibility and amounts are based on the student’s current college GPA. A student must have a college GPA of 2.5 or higher to qualify. There is a no application and the scholarship will automatically be awarded once the student has been accepted and completed the FAFSA.

This scholarship allows students pursuing a masters degree in ministry to receive a scholarship for special tuition rates. Tuition will be billed at $335 per course for University of the Cumberlands and Clear Creek Bible College graduates who enroll in the Master of Arts in Christian Studies program. The scholarship rate will be applied to the account after tuition is billed.
Merit-Based Scholarships
Athletic Scholarships are offered in both men's and women's intercollegiate athletics in accordance with the regulations of the NAIA and the Mid-South Conference. These scholarships are based on athletic potential and are awarded by an appropriate member of the athletic staff in coordination with the Financial Aid Office. These scholarships are limited in number by regulation and institutional policy. Interested students should contact the coach of the sport in which competition is desired.
As a private Christian university, University of the Cumberlands (UC) places significant value on the contributions of individuals through active participation in leadership positions within their local church or Christian organizations in their school or community. The Christian Leadership Scholarship Program seeks to acknowledge the leadership contributions of deserving students by providing scholarship funds and leadership opportunities while attending UC.
Scholarship recipients are automatically enrolled in the Freshman Leadership Development Program sponsored by UC Campus Ministries, which is used to strengthen one's Christian faith while also further developing leadership qualities. After completion of the program, students will be placed into leadership positions in one of the university's affiliated ministries for the remainder of their tenure at UC.
The scholarship award is up to $1,000 and can be renewed annually based on consistent and meaningful leadership contributions within the assigned ministry area. Extracurricular commitment for the scholarship will be equivalent to that of serving as a player on a university athletic team.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:
- Be actively involved in a leadership position within a local church, school-sponsored Christian organization, or other Christian organizations or activities within their community
- Plan to be a new first-year student at UC; though this scholarship is intended for first-time freshman, transfer students who are new to the university may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Complete the scholarship application, including submission of two letters of recommendation, by February 1st for early scholarship consideration and award; qualified candidates will then be asked to participate in a virtual interview with campus ministry staff to assess their fit for the scholarship program
- Enroll in the MSMN 330 Religious Topics course during their first semester at UC
- Be actively involved in required campus ministry events held every Thursday each semester
To apply, applicants must submit an application and include two letters of recommendation. The recommendation letters and application must be submitted by February 1st to be considered for this scholarship.
The Cumberlands Scholars program is Cumberlands’ most prestigious scholarship. This is an invitation-only scholarship. Outstanding students will be invited by our Scholarship Committee to attend Cumberlands Scholars Interview Day. On January 27th, invited students will participate in interviews, a brunch, and optional campus tours as part of Cumberlands Scholars Interview Day.
The selected recipients will be awarded up to $4,000 in scholarship per year for up to eight full-time (12 credits or more) semesters. Submit applications and nominations by January 15th.
The Scholarship Committee is looking for students who meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum 3.6 cumulative high school GPA
- Minimum 28 ACT or 1330 SAT (super score accepted)
*Official ACT or SAT scores are required before Cumberlands Scholars Interview Day.

- Integrity and discipline in and outside of the classroom
- Intellectual curiosity and ambition

All nominations and applications must be submitted by January 15th to be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. A submitted nomination or application does not guarantee an interview invitation.

Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA at the end of each academic year in order to remain eligible for the scholarship. The Lewis Appalachian Scholarship has been established by an alumnus to recognize two incoming Freshmen from eastern Kentucky who demonstrates academic promise and a genuine desire to give back to their community. This scholarship is a $1,000 non-renewable scholarship and has an application deadline of February 1st. Any application submitted after February 1st, may be given consideration on case by case basis.

The Patriot Scholars program offers scholarships to qualified students who exhibit strong leadership, academic potential, and seek to better their community. University of the Cumberlands offers new students the opportunity to receive a scholarship worth up to $2,000 per year. Award recipients will enjoy the benefits of the scholarship for up to eight full-time (12 credits or more) semesters. The number of awarded semesters will depend on the applicant’s previous college credit.
To apply, students must meet the following qualifications:
- First-time Freshman: Minimum 3.4 cumulative high school GPA and a 24 ACT or 1190 SAT.
- Transfer: Minimum 3.4 GPA from most recent colligate institution.
- Display characteristics of servant leadership, academic excellence, and a commitment to community service.
This scholarship is open to all students who meet the eligibility requirements. To apply, applicants must submit an essay and two letters of recommendation. The application, letters of recommendation, and essay must be submitted by February 1st to be considered for this scholarship.
Financial need may be considered when evaluating applicants. The Financial Aid Office reserves the right to adjust all scholarships to stay within Title IV guidelines, state awarding guidelines, and campus policy.

Fastweb is an external free scholarship search platform that connects individuals to scholarship and financial aid tools for high school and college students to make attending college more affordable. The Discover Free Scholarship Search Engine offers students the opportunity to search for three million scholarships worth more than $18 billion dollars. A student can search for scholarships by interests of hobbies, academics or other categories.
Receiving External Scholarships
Please note that University of the Cumberlands will not endorse or certify the legality of any external scholarship entry. University of the Cumberlands cannot guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of the external scholarships information found within the scholarship links. External Scholarships
External scholarships are private funded scholarships given to students by private donors, organizations, foundations and other outside sources. These scholarships are not directly related with the University of the Cumberlands. Scholarship recipients are chosen by the external agency and funds are distributed to the student by the university, once the funds are received from that specific agency.
The Nurse Corps Scholarship Program is open to eligible nursing students who are enrolled in or have been accepted to a professional nursing degree program at an accredited school of nursing in the United States.
The National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program is open to students who are pursuing primary care health professions training in one of these health disciplines: physician; dentist; nurse practitioner; nurse midwife; or physician assistant.
The National Fraternal Order of Police provides assistance in the form of a tuition reimbursement scholarship to eligible members to obtain a degree from a National FOP-affiliated school. University of the Cumberlands is recognized as an FOP university.
The Brave of Heart Fund was established to provide charitable grants and emotional support services to families of the frontline healthcare workers, volunteers, and support staff whose lives were lost in the fight against COVID-19.
The Brave of Heart Fund continues to honor the hard work and sacrifice of healthcare workers and their families via scholarship funding for their spouses, domestic partners, and children.
Scholarship funding, depending on an eligible applicant's academic focus, student status, and other criteria may offer award amounts from $5,000 to $50,000 per year, depending on financial need, area of study and type of degree a person is seeking. Applicants can receive the award a maximum of eight times or four academic years (whichever occurs first).. Scholarships are available for accredited studies at the undergraduate or graduate levels, for community college, and vocational and technical coursework and programs. Non-traditional students and individuals enrolled in part-time coursework may also apply.
Brave of Heart Scholarship application cycles are scheduled to open in February and August of each year. Interested applicants should visit Scholarship America to register and receive updates and alerts about application cycles.
The Stokes Educational Scholarship Program, formerly known as the Undergraduate Training Program, facilitates the recruitment of individuals, particularly minority high school students, who have demonstrated skills critical to NSA. Stokes is open to high school seniors planning on majoring in computer science or computer/electrical engineering.
As an NSA employee with the Stokes Program, you will attend college full-time, receive up to $30,000 per year for tuition and mandatory fees, and work during the summers at NSA for 12 weeks in areas that are related to your course of study. You'll acquire real-world experience and receive a year-round salary.

The AICPA has supported accounting students for more than 130 years. One of the ways we do this is through our scholarship program, which offers educational funding for accounting students at all stages - from high school seniors about to enter college to CPAs pursuing their Ph.D. The AICPA Foundation awards more than $1 million in scholarships, grants and fellowships to hundreds of students each year, with recipients receiving on average $5,000 towards their education.

The Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund was created directly due to the catastrophic event of 9/11.
The scholarship supports dependent children, spouses or domestic partners of 9/11 victims, including airplane crew and passengers; World Trade Center and Pentagon workers and visitors; and relief workers, including firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and law enforcement personnel who were involved in the rescue efforts.

Zonta is dedicated to achieving gender equality in education and supports scholarships, fellowships and awards for women and girls pursuing education and careers in these traditionally male-dominated fields.
There are three categories:
- Amelia Earhart Fellowship with up to 30 awards being offered of $10,000 each. Application period will open July.
- Women in Business Scholarship with up to 37 awards being offered of $5,000 each, annually. Application period will open generally April – June, with deadline, generally August 15
- Women in STEM Scholarship with up to 32 awards being offered of 5,000 each. Application period will open generally July - August, with deadline, generally September 15”

Mike Nyeholt, who achieved becoming a three-time NCAA All American Swimmer, tragically became paralyzed January 2, 1981 from a dirt bike accident. Mike began this foundation to offer scholarships to those who had experienced similar life-changing accidents so that they could chart a new path for their lives. This scholarship was founded to offer hope and inspiration to young student-athletes who have overcome tremendous adversity through the gift of education. Together with co-founders Ron Orr and Mike Nyeholt, Jersey Mike’s CEO Peter Cancro shares the common vision and pledge to carry on the Ripple Effect with a $1 million donation toward the launch of the foundation. History shows us that one person through extraordinary opportunity and action can make a tremendous difference in the world. That one person touches the lives of others and the impact spreads from there. In the pool, one swimmer creates a ripple and a team makes waves.
The scholarships are offered to athletes that have participated in organized sports, who have been injured through a tragic accident, or through other illnesses, and have become physically challenged, (for further information, please e-mail info [at] swimwithmkie.org (info[at]swimwithmkie[dot]org)). The scholarships may be offered to undergraduate and graduate students, may be renewable, and may be upwards of $10,000 annually, of which upwards of 50 scholarships annually have been provided.
The deadline to apply for a scholarship is May 1, 2024 for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The James Madison Education Fund Inc. is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1994 as a partner organization to the James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation with a mission to encourage study of the United States Constitution, its roots, its formation, its principles, and its development. The James Madison Education Fund Inc. is privately funded through your generous donations. The James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation offers $24,000 James Madison Graduate Fellowships to individuals desiring to become outstanding teachers of the American Constitution at the secondary school level. Fellowship applicants compete only against other applicants from the states of their legal residence. As funding permits, the Foundation plans to offer one fellowship per state per year. Applications for 2024 Fellowships will open on Constitution Day, September 17, 2023. Select “Notify Me” below to get an update when it is live. The deadline to submit the 2024 application is March 1, 2024.
The fellowships are intended exclusively for graduate study leading to a master’s degree. James Madison Fellows may attend any accredited institution of higher education in the United States. Each Fellow will be expected to pursue and complete a master’s degree in one of the following (listed in order of the Foundation’s preference):
- Master of Arts (MA) in American history, political science, or government
- Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) concentrating on either American Constitutional history (in a history department) or American government, political institutions, and political theory (in a political science department). MAT degrees without required constitutional coursework cannot be approved.
- Master of Education (MED) or the Master of Arts or Master of Science in Education with a concentration in American history or American government, political institutions, and political theory.
The Howard Hughes Corporation creates vibrant, award-winning communities where people can live their best lives. To support generations to come, The Howard Hughes Scholarship Program will award three renewable $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors residing in or around one of their communities. The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

The Kentucky Horse Council has a variety of scholarship opportunities listing various associations, requirements, and amounts. Per the website, the Kentucky Horse Council creates a “connection to the Kentucky Equine Industry. A private nonprofit that offers the "Foal License Plate", develops programs for Trails, Health and Welfare, Horse Owners, Youth and Legislation. We are an all breed, all discipline organization managed by a Board of Directors and operated out of an office at the Kentucky Horse Park. Membership and donations to the Kentucky Horse Council support the Kentucky Equine Industry's health and sustainability. The Kentucky Horse Council is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated, through education and leadership, to the protection and development of the Kentucky equine community.” Scholarships listed on the website vary from $1,000.00 up to $20,000.00.
The Citizens Scholarship Grand Prize scholarship is in the amount of $15,000 with monthly prizes of $2,500.00, and quarterly prize opportunities of $2,500.00 each.
The Citizens Scholarship Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States, D.C., and U.S. Territories, who are 16 years of age or older, are students, or prospective students, or parents/guardians of students intending to enroll or enrolled at least half-time in an accredited undergraduate/graduate post-secondary institution. To be eligible for a chance to win the Citizens Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Scholarship entrants must also be an: American Indian or Alaskan Native, African American or Black, Hispanic or Latino/a, Asian, Native Hawaiian, or other Pacific Islander, Women, member of the LGBTQ+ community, individual with disabilities, and/or a veteran. The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund has provided more than 4,400 students with more than $70,000,000 in scholarship grants. Stephen and Betty Phillips took great interest in helping students obtain a college education, even before the scholarship fund was set up. After Stephen Phillips death, his wife, Betty Phillips, was moved into action to create the Scholarship Fund in honor of her husband, and even became personally involved in selecting the scholarship recipients. Their legacy continues to positively impact students seeking higher education, by offering this scholarship fund that is a renewable, four-year scholarship(s) to students with financial need who display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others (in school, their community, or at home), a strong work ethic, and leadership qualities.
The Award details are listed below:
- The intent of this award is to enable students to attend college without accumulating burdensome debt.
- In most cases, the Phillips Scholarship award ranges from $3,000 to $17,000 yearly.
- The award is renewable for up to four undergraduate years provided a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is maintained and financial need does not change substantially.
- All grants will be paid directly to the institution.
- High school seniors entering college and returning college students attending accredited U.S. colleges or universities are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Awards may only be used for undergraduate study and are limited to those seeking a first bachelor’s degree.
- Awards will only be granted to applicants who are permanent residents of New England: Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont; however, recipients may attend college anywhere in the United States.
The Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting provides scholarships and mentoring, supporting equitable access to education and the advancement of women who are pursuing careers in accounting. The Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting awards scholarships to women who are pursuing Accounting degrees at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels. You may apply for more than one scholarship, with the exception of Women In Transition and Women in Need. Please study the criteria for each scholarship to determine your eligibility.
- Women In Transition - This scholarship is designated for a woman who is the primary source of support for her family and is enrolling as an incoming freshman to earn a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. It is awarded for up to $16,000 over four years as determined by the Board of Trustees and will be renewed annually upon completion of satisfactory course work as evidenced by a 3.0 GPA.
- Women In Need - This scholarship is for a woman who is the primary source of support for her family and is completing her sophomore year of academic pursuit to earn a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. It is awarded in the amount of $2,000 per year for two years and will be renewed for the second year upon completion of satisfactory course work as evidenced by a 3.0 GPA.
- Institute of Management Accountants IMA® - IMA is funding two one-year undergraduate scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each for women who are working toward a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. In addition to the cash award, scholarship recipients will receive a complimentary one-year student membership to the IMA (a $39 value), the CMA exam entrance fee (a $250 value), as well as the exam registration fee (valued at $415 per part). The CMA exam entrance and registration fees have a two year time limit and are non-transferrable.
- EFWA Undergraduate – EFWA is funding several one-year undergraduate scholarships in various amounts between $1,000 and $2,500 each for women who are working towards a Bachelors Degree in Accounting attending an accredited school. These students can be incoming freshman or women returning to school pursuing their undergraduate degree.
- American Dream – This scholarship is funding a one-year undergraduate scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for women who are attending a two-year community college and have aspirations towards transferring to a four-year college or university to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. This scholarship is intended to offer an opportunity to provide financial and mentoring support primarily for individuals from the Black, Latinx, and Native population. Eligibility for the American Dream scholarship is not exclusionary on the basis of race, color, sex, age, religion, national and ethnic origin, disability, veteran status, socioeconomic background, or sexual orientation. Candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents.

Each year the scholarship application period opens in January and closes April 30th for most scholarships. The postgraduate scholarship application period closes May 15th.
The purpose of the Kailee Mills Foundation Scholarship Program is to educate teen drivers about seat belt safety through seat belt awareness, research, volunteerism, and leadership. Scholarship recipients deliver high levels of academic achievement, ambition, leadership, and a desire to make a difference. The Kailee Mills Foundation has awarded $191,000 in scholarships since 2020.
We award numerous scholarships to students across the United States each year. The scholarship awards vary in range but could be up to $20,000. These scholarships must be used at any 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university. All applicants must show academic achievement and help to spread seat belt safety awareness in their community. The scholarship application is now open, and we will accept applications through April 1, 2024.
Scholarship awards of $5,000 and above are distributed at $5,000 per semester. Awarded amounts under $5,000 will be a one-time distribution. Any awarded amount unused in a semester will be rolled over to the next semester. All scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college or university at the beginning of each spring and fall semester as long as the recipient requirements have been met.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a high school senior or current post-secondary undergraduate.
- Receive or have received a high school diploma at/by the end of the graduating school year. (If you are a current college student, you must have taken classes consecutively).
- Be enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university in a full-time (at least 12 hours) degree-seeking program for the first time.
- Be a US citizen or legal resident.
- Have a current GPA of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Have at least a 1050 SAT score or a 20 ACT.

- Have volunteered for organizations in their community and submit verifiable proof of volunteer hours.

The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) is a not-for-profit, private industry-directed organization that offers technical school, undergraduate, and graduate fellowship assistance to men and women interested in a career in the graphic communications field.
PGSF has two main missions.
- First, to attract young people to the industry and inform them (and their parents, school advisors, etc.) of the wide variety of career opportunities available.
- Second, if they are pursuing post-secondary education in order to enter the field or are currently working and looking to continue their education part-time, we provide financial assistance to them.

ABBVIE Cystic Fibrosis Scholarship which will open Spring (April) of 2024 and the deadline will generally end sometime in May of 2024.
Since 1993, students living with Cystic Fibrosis have been awarded over $3.4 million through the AbbVie CF Scholarship program.
The ABBVIE CF Scholarship recognizes exceptional students with Cystic Fibrosis who demonstrate academic excellence, community involvement, creativity, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for the Cystic Fibrosis community. Each year, AbbVie awards 40 scholars with $3,000 each. Two of these students (an undergraduate and a graduate) are then selected to receive a Thriving Student Scholarship, winning an additional $22,000 each.
The ABBVIE Cystic Fibrosis Scholarship opens March 7 and ends April 18.
Byran Cameron Education Foundation that offers full-tuition scholarships to 10-15 high school students that are for a period of four years.
Eligibility for the Cameron Impact Scholarship is based on the following criteria. The applicant must:
- Maintain a minimum, cumulative, unweighted GPA of a 3.7/4.0 scale or equivalent in their high school studies;
- Be a full citizen of the United States of America;

Salix Gastrointestinal Health Scholars Awards Program is offering 10 scholarships for students living with gastrointestinal (GI) diseases and disorders who are pursuing their higher education goals.
Each recipient will be awarded up to $10,000 for the academic calendar year 2024-2025 (a “Scholarship”). The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Since 1973, the TCA Scholarship Fund has been helping students with connections to the truckload industry. The Fund awards up to $6,250 per year, per full-time undergraduate college student. Much of our program’s support comes from within the truckload family—companies and individuals who are committed to our community’s future.
Eligibility Requirements:
Any student in good standing (minimum grade point average of 3.0) who will be attending an accredited four-year college or university as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior and who is either:
- the child, grandchild, or spouse of an employee or an employee of a TCA member; or,
- the child, grandchild, or spouse of an independent contractor or an independent contractor affiliated with a TCA member.
The recipient of a TCA scholarship must show financial need, show scholastic achievement, maintain full-time student status, and be an individual of high character and integrity. - If a student is deemed a recipient, a scholarship from the TCA Scholarship FundSM will be awarded on a per-semester basis. Founded in 2021, PIMCO’s Future Leaders Scholarship (FLS) began with a commitment of $1 million total, but has since expanded up to $2 million, amounting to about $30,000 per recipient. Since 1991, the Union Plus Scholarship Program has awarded more than $5.4 million to students of working families who want to begin or continue their post-secondary education. More than 3,800 families have benefited from our commitment to higher education. The Union Plus Scholarship Program is offered through the Union Plus Education Foundation, supported in part by contributions from the provider of the Union Plus Credit Card. (You do not need to be a Union Plus Credit Card holder to apply for this scholarship.) In 2023, 205 union members and union family members were awarded $200,000 in Union Plus Scholarships, ranging from $500 to $4,000.
Each year, the application deadline is January 31 and the chosen scholarship award recipients are notified by mail on May 31. All applicants are notified when the award winner list is posted in early June.
The 2025 Application will be available in mid-June.
Through a competitive selection process, the IBTTA Foundation awards $5,000 scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students who are working towards a transportation-related degree at an accredited university. This scholarship program is launched every spring and administered by Scholarship America®, the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin. This program opens in February of each calendar and awardees are notified around July of the same year. IBTTA has partnered with Scholarship America. One award of $5,000 will be granted to a student pursuing a graduate degree.

The NAFB was founded in 1944 as the National Association of Radio Farm Directors (NARFD). It added Television to its name in 1955 to become NATRFD. The next name change came in 1964 to simply, NAFB. Most recently in 2005, the name was changed to the National Association of Farm Broadcasting. NAFB is dedicated to serving the interest of the agricultural community and creating value for its Broadcast member stations and networks. NAFB is an established liaison between farm broadcast stations and networks and the Agri-Marketing community of companies and agencies.
Since 1977, the NAFB Foundation has provided financial support and educational opportunities in the form of college scholarships to assist students in pursuit of careers in agricultural communications. More than $608,000 in scholarships have been awarded. In 2024, the NAFB Foundation is offering multiple $7,500 college scholarshipsand one $10,000 scholarship. Our student (internship and co-operative education) programs offer highly unique and rewarding student experiences as you help keep our Nation safe. Work alongside experts in your field of study as you gain real-world experience within the Intelligence Community. We offer financial needs-based scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to a year-round salary, scholarship recipients will get up to $25,000 in tuition assistance per calendar year. All recipients must be either entering or attending an accredited university.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate students must work at least one, and preferably two, 90-day session(s) at CIA before graduating
- Graduate students must work at least one 90-day tour at CIA before graduating
- After graduation, all scholarship recipients must work at CIA for a period of 1.5 years per year of paid scholarship received.

Undergraduate Programs
Our year-round internship programs allow undergraduate students to work in several areas before they graduate. These paid opportunities span a range of studies, including, but not limited to:

- Economics
- Foreign language
- Engineering
- Information technology
Schools with co-operative programs typically have specific requirements to receive co-op credit. So, we designed our co-op program at the CIA to help students meet those requirements. As part of our program, students work on an alternating semester basis for at least three semesters before they graduate. This can include a summer work session as well. Since our Agency does not work with an established list of co-op programs, students will need to work with their schools to receive academic credit.
Our Graduate Studies Program is available to full-time students in accredited graduate or doctoral programs. As part of our program, students complete at least one 90-day tour before graduating. This program is an exciting opportunity for graduate students to gain real-world work experience. It is also an excellent opportunity for graduates to transition from academic life to a career in national service. Students have to go through our medical and security process. - Be pursuing a first associate’s or first bachelor’s degree.
Awardees must meet the following requirements:
- If selected as a recipient, the student will receive up to a $25,000 award. The number of awards will be determined each scholarship program year based on available funds; up to ten (10) awards will be granted.
- Assuming there are qualified applicants, one (1) student must be a resident of Des Moines, IA per restricted gift from a donor. If there are no qualified applicants from Des Moines, IA, one award should be granted to a student from somewhere else in the state of Iowa.
- Assuming there are qualified applicants, two (2) recipients must be either from Bayfield High School in Bayfield, WI, or Cleveland High School in Cleveland, MN per restricted gift from the donor.
- Awards can be used for all education-related expenses.
- Awards are renewable up to four (4) additional years or until a first associate or bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic performance. Recipients may transfer from an associate’s degree path to a bachelor’s degree path and continue to renew the award.
- Awards are for undergraduate study only.

The Pickering Program plans to award 45 fellowships of up to $42,000 annually for a two-year period for tuition, room, board, books, and mandatory fees for completion of two-year master’s degrees. This includes up to $24,000 per year for tuition and mandatory fees and an academic year stipend of $18,000. Fellows must obtain graduate degrees in international affairs or a related subject such as public administration, public policy, international relations, business administration, economics, history, political science, communications, or foreign languages at a graduate school approved by the Pickering Program. Fellows are expected to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 throughout their period of study. Applicants apply to two-year graduate programs at U.S.-based universities separately from their application to the Pickering Program.
Eligibility requirements are listed below:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application.
- Seek admission to a two-year, full-time, on-campus, master’s degree program at a U.S.-based graduate institution to begin in the fall of 2024 in an academic field relevant to the work of the Foreign Service (public policy, international affairs, public administration, business, economics, political science, management science, organizational development/leadership, sociology, or regional studies).

Founded in 1969 by a small group of concerned Korean American community leaders in Washington, D.C., KASF began as a local organization with limited focus and funding resources. However, with the dramatic growth of Korean immigrant communities in the U.S. an ever-increasing need for financial aids for Korean American students, KASF became a national organization in 1989. While headquartered in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, KASF has seven regional chapters in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, and Denver…While all regional chapters operate under a single KASF bylaws, each chapter operates independently to raise funds, manage educational/cultural programs, and to award scholarships. The Korean American Scholarship Foundation (KASF) is a non-profit, volunteer-managed organization established to help meet the financial needs of Korean-American students seeking higher education.
Specifically, the foundation seeks to:
1. Assist Korean American students in pursuit of academic and personal achievement
2. Encourage community and civic service as an integral part of leadership development
3. Nurture the sense of pride and confidence in Korean cultural heritage and tradition
In addition, pending funds availability, KASF has also provided scholarships to qualified descendants of Korean War American Veterans. The foundation is operated by its voluntary-based Board of Directors and supporters and its operating expenses are funded by incomes from membership dues and local fund raising activities. In addition to their voluntary work for the KASF, many of our Board of Directors are also scholarship donors.
KASF scholarships (which range from $500 to $5,000) are offered to the qualified Korean American students (including foreign students from Korea). All applicants must be enrolled in a full time program in the U.S during the scholarship application year. If extra funds are available, other students (non Koreans) may qualify for scholarships. Specifically, descendants of American veterans served during the Korean War may qualify for scholarships (applicable to selective regions).

The Goldie Initiative offers a prestigious leadership program designed to develop the next generation of women executives in the commercial real estate (CRE) industry. The Goldie Initiative was founded by Goldie B. Wolfe Miller, a renowned commercial real estate broker and entrepreneur. Our mission is to prepare women for senior leadership roles in all sectors of CRE. The Goldie Initiative does this by providing scholarship support for graduate study, mentorship, and networking opportunities for women with high potential who are committed to becoming leaders in the real estate industry.
Our program supports women pursuing graduate-level studies in business with a focus on real estate. The types of degrees our graduates earn include but are not limited to Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Masters of Science in Real Estate (MSRE), JDs, Masters of Urban Planning (MUPP), and more. We do not accept undergraduate students at this time. Founded in 2007, The Goldie Initiative has assisted over 145 Goldie Scholars® at the following graduate schools, and continues to grow.
Scholarship Eligibility and Program Participation Requirements:

For twenty years, The Shawn Carter Foundation has been committed to bridging the opportunity gap that exists across the education system. We firmly believe that nothing should prevent any individual from reaching their highest potential.

Each student who qualifies can receive a maximum of $15,000 from admission to graduation to help cover expenses during their course of study. Shawn Carter Scholars are studying at over 100 institutions of higher learning throughout the nation.

Jane Calmes was born in Coffeyville, Kansas, and spent her youth in Neodesha, Kansas. She attended Kansas University and later graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wichita State University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science/Dental Hygiene. Jane was an accomplished dental hygienist and loved working with the public, all the while providing a necessary service with gentle thoroughness, for which she was noted. She married Mark Calmes in 1980 and together they had four children. Jane was also an ALS hero, having fought the disease for eight years through pure grit and determination. The family formed a very successful Walk to Defeat ALS team in her honor named Jane’s Angels. The team was formed in 2010 and continues today. Jane passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2017, in the arms of her husband and surrounded by her loving family.
A Note from Mark Calmes
Jane was a fighter. She battled three major illnesses in a row - a silent heart attack, breast cancer, and finally, ALS. Every day she amazed me, especially with the courage she exhibited dealing with disease and the compassion she showed our family and others during her journey.
After Jane’s death, I began to think of ways to honor her and her courageous battle with disease, especially ALS. The idea of a scholarship fund resonated with me. Jane was always keen on education and the lifelong benefits it can provide. She insisted on our four kids getting a college education, and she volunteered at an after-school program with our church. So, as I thought about all of this, coupled with the fact that children of families dealing or having dealt with ALS are often overlooked and are collateral damage to the disease, it made perfect sense to help these kids. This collateral damage, which can affect and negatively impact children for a lifetime, needed to be addressed.
In addition to the physical and emotional toll faced by people impacted by ALS, the financial strain of the disease can devastate a family’s ability to plan for future expenses. Families impacted by ALS often do not have the financial means to support the pursuit of college degrees or vocational certificates.
Recognizing this unmet need, The ALS Association and Mark Calmes, of the Association's National Board of Trustees, established The Jane Calmes ALS Scholarship Fund in honor of Mark's wife, Jane, who lost her battle with ALS in 2017. The purpose of the scholarship fund is to provide financial assistance to students pursuing an accredited college degree or vocational certificate, and whose ability to cover the costs is severely compromised as a result of their family’s financial burden of ALS.
Eligibility requirements:
To be considered for The Jane Calmes ALS Scholarship Fund, an applicant must be:
- An individual whose finances have been impacted negatively due to having a diagnosis of ALS themselves, or having a parent, guardian, or family member (living or deceased) diagnosed with ALS. Must be able to demonstrate financial need.
- A high school senior, high school graduate, current postsecondary undergraduate student, or currently enrolled in vocational program;
- Someone who is planning to enroll for a minimum of six credits per semester in undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year, in pursuit of completing a degree program;
- A U.S. Citizen attending a U.S. school.
- The ALS Association’s goal is to fund as many students as resources allow, at $2,500 per semester or $5,000 per year.

- Hyundai Motor is the second largest supplier of electric vehicles in the USA. With this in mind, write an essay of 500 words or more on how EV tech can help create a more sustainable future. Discuss whether the shift toward EVs is the best path for improving global mobility and environmental health.

Since 1969, Two Ten Footwear Foundation has awarded nearly $28 million in scholarships to footwear industry employees and children of footwear employees pursuing college degrees or vocational/technical training. Applications for 2024-2025 academic year funding are due by April 15, 2024. Trying to finish a degree or certification program while you work in footwear either part time or full time? Let us help! Two Ten's Employee Scholarships are worth up to $16,000. Scholars receive annual awards of $4,000, renewable for up to four years of part time or full time study in an accredited associate or bachelor degree program or vocational/technical training program. Applications are now being accepted for 2024-2025 academic year awards.
Requirements:
- You are (or will be) enrolled in an accredited associate or bachelor degree program or vocational/technical training program.
- You are currently employed in the U.S. footwear industry and can provide proof you have worked in the U.S. footwear industry, either full time or part time, for at least 24 months total.
- You can demonstrate financial need based on household size, income and expenses. (Please note: scholarship selection criteria include but are not limited to financial need. Academic potential, character, special circumstances, and other criteria are also considered.)
- To apply for this program you must meet the criteria listed above. You will be asked to supply copies of the qualifying employee's last two paystubs along with an employment verification document from the employer that confirms hire date. (This can be a simple letter or email from a supervisor or company HR department, but must include contact information for the company representative verifying the dates of employment.) You may also be asked to provide your Social Security Number or your FAFSA® EFC (Expected Family Contribution) during the application process.
