    Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited forestry program at an postsecondary institution. They must be in the second year of a two-year technical school program or in the third or fourth year of a four-year college or university program. Students who are in the final year of their program must remain enrolled for the entirety of the academic year. Selection is based on academic merit, leadership ability, stated career goals and financial need.

  • Mabel Mayforth Scholarship

    Eligibility: Applicants must be Vermont residents who are college juniors, seniors or graduate students and must major horticulture, landscape, design, conservation, forestry, agronomy, plant pathology or biology with a special interest in plants, ecology and allied subjects. They must be full-time students at an accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Previous winners may reapply.

    Eligibility: Applicants must be Virginia residents and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students will need to submit a short essay explaining why they have chosen an undergraduate or graduate degree in the field of agricultural sciences, animal and poultry sciences, wildlife conservation or forestry. Applicants should have a goal of helping to address food insecurity in our communities.
